The Federal Capital Territory, Lagos and two other states have recorded 49 new COVID-19 infections, according to figures released on Monday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
The NCDC disclosed this on its official Twitter handle on Monday.
According to the report, FCT led with 27 new cases, Lagos reported 11, Enugu –eight while Oyo reported three cases.
The agency says the 49 new COVID-19 infections have brought the number of confirmed cases in the country to 165,468.
“Our discharges today include 5 community recoveries in the FCT managed in line with guidelines,” NCDC said.
It revealed also that 156,318 people have so far recovered and discharged.
The NCDC disclosed further that no new COVID-19-related death was recorded in the country.
It said that a multi-sectoral national Emergency Operations Centre, activated at Level 3, had continued to coordinate the national response activities.
