The cases of malaria in Bida, Niger state has continued to heighten following the recent change in weather.
A medical practitioner, Dr.Joseph Ogbogbo said this in his office during a brief interview with wellbeing.ng.com.
Dr.Joseph who works at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) said that there has been a recent upsurge in the numbers of patients with malaria visiting the centre on a daily basis.
To curb the menace, he advised that residents should acquire the mosquito nets which is presently on distribution by the government.
He also said that symptoms like headache, catarrh, internal body heat and feverish feeling should not be neglected as these could develop into malaria.
“When residents observe these abnormalities, they should swing into action immediately to visit any registered pharmacy for quick medication”
He also warned residents against self-medication and use of unprescribed intake of herbal medicine as it could endanger health.
