Student’s have been advised to desist from eating too much sugary food items and ensure that they maintain a positive oral hygiene on a daily basis.
A dentist at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Bida, Niger State Dr Olaranwa Micheal gave the advice while speaking with our correspondent in an interview.
Dr Michael said tooth decay is on the rise among Nigerians and the reason is that most people people eat too many sugary substances and fail to keep their teeth clean. Consequently, most Nigerians have one teeth problem or the other.
He further stated that cavity is a pathological decay of the tooth resulting from bacterial infection it also destroys the teeth. ” The key is brushing our teeth at least twice a day: Once in the morning and before going to bed.”
