Toilet infection causes Abnormal Menstruation, infertility, Death.

Toilet infection has been said to be one of the likely causes of painful menstruation, scanty menses,and infertility in women, Wellbeing.com.ng has learnt.

A nurse with Federal Medical Centre who simply identified her name as Miss Afoma reeled this out in an interview with Wellbeing.com.ng.

She disclosed that a fairly treated toilet infection can metamorphose into implications like Dysmenorrhoea (painful menstruation) and oligomennorthoea ( scanty menses) and other severe ailment like urine retention, septemia and blockage of the fallopian tube.

Aloma further revealed that if concerted care and attention is not given to a patient with that ailment, it could result to infertility adding that a worst case scenario could also be death.

However, she advised that ladies should restrain from constant usage of public toilets in order to stay safe.
