By Balogun Clara The staffs and students of the federal polytechnic Bida, have been informed on the need to take adequate actions on the treatment of stomach ulcer, this was made known in an interview with a medical practioner Dr. Kingsley okeke recently. Dr. Kingsley okeke explained that ''stomach ulcer which is also called peptic ulcer is a sore that develops on the lining of the oesophagus, stomach or small intestine adding that stomach ulcer occurs when stomach acid damages the lining of the digestive tract''. Dr. Okeke noted that stomach ulcer is commonly cause by bacteria H, pylori and anti-inflammatory pain reliever's including aspirin. He disclosed that treatments should be made to patients with the use of medications to decrease stomach acid production, if it is caused by bacteria, antibiotics may be required. He advised that staffs and students of the institution should go for a test and begin treatment on time if diagnose of stomach ulcer.
