The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has reported 86 new confirmed cases of the contagion across six states and the FCT.
None of the reporting states reported any incidence of coronavirus-related death.
The agency reported the figures on its website and also via its verified Twitter handle @NCDCgov in the early hours of Monday.
The report is based on the findings of previous day, Sunday, March 21, 2021.
“Till date, 161,737 cases have been confirmed, 147,899 cases have been discharged and 2,030 deaths have been recorded across 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory,” the agency said.
Continuing, it stated, “The 86 new cases are reported from seven states – FCT (33), Lagos (28), Ondo (11), Kano (seven), Akwa Ibom (three), Rivers (three), and Kaduna (one).”
It said that a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre activated at Level 3 continues to coordinate the national response activities.
“Our discharges today include 29 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines,” it added.
