The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has reported 1,005 new COVID-19 cases as well as 24 deaths across 18 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The agency disclosed this via its verified Twitter handle @NCDCgov in the early hours of Saturday.
Continuing, NCDC said, “Our discharges today include 408 community recoveries in Lagos State and 99 community recoveries in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines.
The agency added that a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre activated at Level 3 continues to coordinate the national response activities.
“Till date, 144,521 cases have been confirmed, 118,866 cases have been discharged and 1,734 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory,” NCDC stated.
