The Nigeria Centre for Disease control has reported 1,041 new COVID-19 infections in 18 states and the Federal capital Territory.
According to the agency, the number of reported deaths within one week in states, including FCT, is 24.
Lagos led the cases with 316 infections, followed by the FCT with 210 cases.
According to the NCDC, Nigeria currently has 81,963 confirmed COVID-19 cases in total, with 69,651 persons treated and discharged, and 1,242 pandemic-related deaths.
“Our discharges today include 128 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines,” NCDC tweeted.
